Grade Level: 11

Subject: US History

Duration: Multiple Class Periods

DOK Level: 4

Indiana Standard: Multiple standards depending on decade chosen.

Objective: Students will research and create an interactive website covering the entirety of a full decade as a second semester cumulative project.

Procedure: Students will be given as many class periods as needed to create a website using the new Google Sites.  This site should provide meaningful commentary on the following areas:

  • Domestic Political Issues
  • International Political/Military Events
  • Pop Culture

The first few days should be dedicated to familiarizing themselves with Google Sites

  • Day 1: General introduction to Google Sites
  • Adding collaborators
  • Creating Pages and Sub-pages
  • Adding Pictures, Banners, etc.
  • Embedding Video
  • Day 2:
  • Answer any questions
  • Research and development
