Here are few strategies to use next year that will make your teaching life easier, bump up your effectiveness with students, save time complying with the Common Core State Standards, and prepare students effectively for next Spring.

As you're in your grade-level teams, planning lessons for next year, include these. They will add spice to your classes, build flexible learning paths, and contribute to sustainable, transformation learning.

Once you start using tech in the classroom as a tool (not a separate activity), you will find students self-selecting it when given a choice, coming up with their own ways to make tech today's adaptive answer.

1.   Use online sign-ups for conferences, parent helpers and project presentation .

2.   Share stories with iPads

3.   Create and share a class calendar using canva

4.   Go on virtual field trips

5.   Diversify your teaching by providing options for students who finish classwork early.

6.   Translate classwork for non-native speakers.

7.   Adapt skills for special needs by using tech to insure equity.

8.   Collect data with Google Forms Collect feedback with a back channel.

9.   Participate in Google Hangouts

10.Practice keyboarding by using school keyboarding software (like Type to Learn) or an online site (like DanceMat Typing).

11.Don't be afraid of tech mistakes -- embrace them. Set up computer labs, install windows on PC's, Impart computer learning skills to students such as troubleshooting windows by means of softwares such as driver restore.

12.Look up vocabulary digitally Share student work -- if students have blogs or websites, show them how to display their work on these sites.

13.Provide feedback -- This is an important step in student work. Studies show that feedback is one of the predictors of educational success (in teachers as well as students).

15.Have students create a digital story to tell about different story elements in a reading, show you geometric shapes they have learned, or report on important historical events or figures.Have students create digital books by scanning/photographing their illustrations and adding narration.

16.Use Slideshows in the Classroom - Create a jump slide for students to use as a center during a unit of study.To create a jump slide using Microsoft Power Point, insert a graphic on your slide. Then, right click the picture or clip art, click "Hyperlink" and type the URL address into the "Address" box at the bottom.Create a template for students to fill in using "Master Slide". With this feature, the structure of the project cannot be changed.
