Degree of Alignment to CC.9-10.L.5: Limited (1)

In order to "demonstrate understanding of figurative...." is it enough to just point it out? If one can imitate figurative language by pasting an image on cardboard, does that clearly demonstrate understanding? This object needs to be expanded to offer a chance at mastery of standard. It can be tweaked to accomplish mastery.

Quality of Assessments: Limited (1)

How do we know the domaine or level of knowlege that students have. Pre-activities are vague

Quality of Instructional and Practice Exercises: Limited (1)

Students do practice presenting their ideas. However the rubric used is only a checklist. What is rated is merely that.
