Abstract: Learn to calculate with metres, kilogrammes and litres. This module contains extensive, randomly regenerated practice materials for formatting and converting metric measures, as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. The main question sets are followed by a quiz about metric system facts, a quiz about temperatures, and finally a couple of games. The level is suitable for primary school (keystage two). Multiplying is restricted to linear multiplication. Areas are not yet touched on. The randomized tasks are carefully ordered in difficulty level. Each task has a timer attached to help practice concentration skills. Multiple attempts are allowed before a question is marked as wrong, and colourful and varying picture icons mark the number of 'lives' left. Numerous rewards offer long-term goals. A tracking system measures progress by accuracy, score and time spent.
