Abstract:

In this activity the concepts of probability and exponential decay are demonstrated using M&M candy. The activity is appropriate for small classes (less than 40 students) that have already been introduced to half life and decay. The site provides detailed teaching instructions and tips, and links to similar activities for various class sizes.
