Abstract: This site presents a three-part videotape series produced to enhance classroom discussions of the book A Civil Action. The site gives outlines of material covered by each tape and allows users to view sample video clips. The tapes are accompanied by a student course book that includes brief exercises for writing, research, class discussion and role-playing exercises, as well as audio transcripts. The course materials are based on 35 hours of videotaped interviews with participants in the Anderson v. W.R. Grace case including the judge, jurors, witnesses, and Jonathan Harr, the author of the book. The videotape and course book package may be purchased from the site.
