- Abstract:
This course covers both physical and cultural geography. Students learn various methods for defining place on the Earth's surface. Student's also investigate types of ecosystems and biomes. Various methods of how the Earth can be changed and modified naturally are then discussed, with students learning about earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and erosion. Finally, economic systems are covered as well as political systems of government. The course emphasizes student application of core standards with information that is happening in real time.
