I have not used this yet but feel it would be very beneficial when studying either a unit on bacteria or the evolutionary aspects of bacteria.

This site has many uses. As an on-line text for different types of bacteria and their ecological usefulness. It also addresses the evolutionary benefits of bacteria. The site offers additional resourses such as the use of different types of microscopes for viewing micro-organisms.
