This is a nice little tutorial introduction to phylogentic relationships. It really emphasizes the difference between superficial similarity and collections of shared characters. What I like about it is that it give some sense of the data behind the characters being compared. I might assign this a self study homework. It would be interesting to think about some questions for students to work on as they go thought the tutorial.
