- How did you use this material? This course provides a nice overview of the major schools of thought in media study (Frankfurt, Birmingham, etc.). It also does a nice job of presenting some of the major debates within media studies today (media ownership, cultural studies, etc.) The materials are well-organized. One link to an essay about the thought of Marshall McLuhan was non-functioning, though. Mass Communication and Society; Communication and Culture; Intro to Media Studies |
