OER Commons is a network of teaching and learning materials built by linking to institutional collections and individual authors’ curricula and other learning materials. We welcome you to submit the details or “metadata”, such as the URL, keywords, and more, to enable others to find your content more easily. You do not need to upload your materials. We link to them where they are currently hosted.
For OER Commons to include your educational resources, they need to have usage rights, or “conditions of use” that allow the material to be used and shared. We promote the use of Creative Commons licenses (or other open licenses such as GFDL) for specifying how others may use, share, and change your resources, and encourage authors to make their resources as “open” as possible. To learn more about Creative Commons Licenses, please visit http://creativecommons.org/about/licenses/meet-the-licenses .
After submitting the resource information, our staff will review the submission and either approve it or contact you for more information.
Please use one of the following links to submit your resources:
Submit Course-Related Materials
Most of our resources are course-related materials, which includes
materials that have an explicit learning focus.
Submit Libraries and Collections
Libraries and Collections are non-curricular content, such as primary source
materials or images.
Submit OER Community Items
Resources that are about open educational resources are OER Community items.
This includes news articles, research papers, conferences, blogs, and
organizations.
Are you affiliated with an institution or organization that would like to contribute a collection of resources? We have a metadata schema we can share, and we can harvest some RSS and OAI feeds. Please contact info@oercommons.org, we would be happy to talk with you.
