Otters Splash Down: Bringing Otters Back to Central New York

Abstract:

This BioBulletin Web site takes a close look at river otters and a project to bring them back to New York State. The site includes text, videos, photographs, and interviews with key scientists. The Introduction takes a brief look at the challenges facing all otters but especially river otters. River Otters Inside and Out provides an in-depth look at the biology, evolution, and daily life of these members of the weasel family. What Happened to the River Otter? examines the reasons for the decline of the North American river otter.
