The Bloom Clock Project is an attempt to create a language for discussing the bloom times of wildflowers and other plants that is neutral in respect to climate, region, and hemisphere. This language will take a few years to develop as it depends on a large pool of data.
In this lesson you will, by listening to a segment, complete a text in which information is given about the region Languedoc Roussillon. You will learn which items to highlight to describe a region to third parties.
The students will first view the animated slicing and rotating of various area about the x-axis or about different lines at internet sites. Then the student will complete a lab experience in which various food items will be examined as to what planar region created them.

Topics include altruism, empathy, communication, theory of mind, aggression, power, groups, mating, and morality. Methods include evolutionary biology, neuroscience, cognitive science, social psychology and anthropology."
At the completion of this lesson you will be able to: using the data supplied, making inquiries and giving information by telephone about a certain region. You will learn to plan and book your own vacation and taking into account the expectations you have.
How does our climate affect us? How do we decide what to wear each day? What factors determine if our clothing choices are comfortable? What is the source of our water? Students explore characteristics that define climatic regions. They learn how tropical, desert, coastal and alpine climates result in different lifestyle, clothing, water source and food options for the people who live there. They learn that a location's latitude, altitude, land features, weather conditions, and distance from large bodies of water, determines its climate. Students discuss how engineers help us adapt to all climates by designing clothing, shelters, weather technologies and clean water systems.
