Beginning Composing and Creating Music for Elementary General Music Classes. This involves Creative thinking, using language and arts together, and synergizing in groups to Compose Music.
In this activity, students learn about astronomical phenomena we can see in the universe and create their own music inspired by astronomical images. By performing original musical improvisations, students enhance their knowledge of what astronomical phenomena are represented in images and experiment with creative ways of representing these using music. This activity engages students in first hand exploration of music and astronomy connections.
As an English/digital media teacher at Henry Clay High School in Lexington, Kentucky, Jason Behler has found that his students become deeply engaged when creating their own podcasts, especially because he allows them great freedom in selecting their own genre and content. His students develop skills in collaboration and time management as well as technical and communication skills. Podcasting does not need to be confined to a class in digital media, and it does not require expensive equipment. Podcasting can be integrated into any content area to add spark to your lessons.
Music educator Michelle Lewis teaches her students how to create vodcast music lessons. Lewis hopes that their vodcast YouTube channel will help students in schools without a music program learn music concepts.
The objectives of this kit are to improve student perceptions of older adults in terms of creativity, flexibility and competence, and to broaden their understanding of what constitutes "creative" expression. Both documentary and feature films were used in order to explore the differences in intent between these different media, as well as the issues of time period, race, gender, culture and nationality.
Critical Language Service offers playlists with video lessons that explain the material in Alif Baa, Al-Kitaab 1 (through lesson 11), and a series on Egyptian vocabulary. Videos designed for the Alif Baa series focus on stories to illustrate new vocabulary while the series designed for Al-Kitaab explains grammatical concepts introduced in the books, and demonstrate proper pronunciation. They also offer a playlist of 60 cartoon episodes in Arabic.
This module has been created by Dr. Carly Johnson, Chair of the Department of Music at Alabama State University, to supplement commercial textbooks available for college-level conducting courses. The culturally diverse images, musical scores, and videos featured in the module provide more inclusive content, representative of students from historically marginalized groups, and aid in deconstructing racial, ethnic, and gender biases often associated with the study of Western art music and with holding leadership positions in music. The module begins with reflective questioning, identifying and examining equity barriers in Western art music, and ends with pathway resources for underrepresented students to pursue additional study beyond the conclusion of the course. Included in this module are several activities and assessments that can be used in a variety of ways, suitable for both in-person teaching or for synchronous or asynchronous online instruction.
This reading and listening activity aligns well to a novice-level unit about personal descriptions. Students listen to a song and read its lyrics. A handout is included to guide students to demonstrate their comprehension.
The goal of this class is practical: to interrogate, make explicit, and thus to develop the powerful musical intuitions that are at work as you make sense of the music all around you. Reflecting, we will ask how this knowledge develops in ordinary and extraordinary ways.

Learn about the fundamental connections between math and music, in four Acts: Rhythm, Frequency, Harmony and Fractals. Concepts presented in the video documentary are reinforced by hands-on experiments using the Google Chrome Music Lab Experiments.
Students learn to apply the principles and concepts associated with energy and the transfer of energy in an engineering context by designing and making musical instruments. They choose from a variety of provided supplies to make instruments capable of producing three different tones. After completing their designs, students explain the energy transfer mechanism in detail and describe how they could make their instruments better.

Der Projektsong wurde beim Besuch in Arta/Griechenland mit allen Schülern und Orchester eingeprobt und am letzten Abend in der Stadthalle von Arta aufgeführt.
