Abstract:: Principles of heat and mass transfer. Steady and transient conduction and diffusion. Convective transport of heat and mass in both laminar and turbulent flows. Natural convection. Condensation and boiling. Application to design of heat exchangers. Radiative heat transfer. 10.302 will be offered for 15 units starting fall 2003.
