This course focuses on the allocation and use of technology resources across an entire firm as part of the larger organizational strategy. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: explain the relationship between information technology and competitive advantage; explain the relationship between information technology and business processes in an organization; explain how an organization can leverage data for strategic planning through the use of data warehouses and business intelligence; identify different online technologies,and explain how each can be used to improve their business and contribute to their competitive advantage; describe how a technology strategy should be developed.
