This companion to Collaborative Statistics (col10522) by Illowsky and Dean provides a number of additional resources for use by students and instructors. This content is designed to complement the textbook by providing video tutorials, course management materials, and sample problem sets.
In early 2011, the OpenCourseware Consortium (OCWC) invited University of Michigan and OER Africa to do a guest blog post about their reflections of participating in a collaborative health OER project.
Students will work individually and in collaborative pairs or groups to solve a rocket-launch problem. The pairs/groups will then present potential solutions to the class for discussion. Similar problems will then be solved and created by students.
The web 2.0 storytelling workshops will consist of live online and asynchronous workshops via WiZiQ and ning respectively. Participants will engage in activities that encourage reflection and promote higher order critical thinking skills.
