The marine ecosystems are seriously affected by the accidental capture of marine animals such as sharks, octopi, turtles and dolphins while fishing. These untargeted animals, victims of fishing, are called bycatch. They are many times injured and thrown back in the ocean. In this game users need to move around their boat using the arrow keys and catch only fish.
The Earth Hour Game by WWF aims at raising awareness of the need to take action on climate change by limiting the use of unnecessary electricity. Learners are asked to use the arrow-keys and move a little man around trying to switch off as many this little yellow (round) lights as possible. The game is based on WWF global event organized on the last Saturday of March each year at 8.30pm in each time zone around the world, when households, institutions, businesses and municipalities are asked to turn off their non-essential lights for 1 hour.
The article explains how students and teachers can make their school & classroom a more sustainable place by taking some easy decisions like encouraging recycling, switching off the lights when not needed, packing a healthy lunch.
The "New Climate Deal - A Pocket Guide" is a a handy all-in-one pocket guide to climate change, its impacts, the politics, the history, and the discussions at the UNFCCC negotiation process held in Copenhagen, Denmark December 2009.

"Rescue the Russian Leopard" is an ecological strategy game, although it also incorporates elements of other games such as photoshooting. This game is modelled after a real-life situation. Ahead lies not escaping virtual monsters, but dealing with real-life problems. Your goal is to significantly increase the endangered Far Eastern leopard population from 30 to at least 100 animals, or ensure that several leopard families live in the Ussurian Range reserve. You will have 30 years of game time in which to achieve either of these objectives.
The "Seagull strikes back" focuses on the dangers of irresponsible fishing. It warns that unless action is taken, fish may disappear from the seafood counter and restaurant table altogether. Unsustainable fishing is decimating the world's fisheries, as well as destroying marine habitats and incidentally killing billions of fish and other marine animals each year. The users need to move around using arrows and use the space bar to clear the fishing decks of unwanted politicians.
Dirty power stations are polluting our atmosphere, causing climate change and global warming. Switch them as fast as possible to save out planet! The game is also available in German, Spanish and Italian language. Check them out at http://wwf.panda.org/how_you_can_help/games/
Toxic chemicals are endangering life on Earth, affecting every person and animal. In the "Toxic Blaster" game you need to pilot a Jet-Sub and blast away the threat of human contamination. The game is also available in French, Dutch, Danish, Polish and Finnish languages at http://wwf.panda.org/how_you_can_help/games/.
